Help You by Helping Others

Teamwork is the collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way. This concept is seen within the greater framework of a team, which is a group of interdependent individuals who work together towards a common goal. The four key characteristics of a team include a shared goal, interdependence, boundedness and stability, the ability to manage their own work and internal process, and operate in a bigger social system.

Setting a Goal.

We are well into the first month of 2022, are you someone who sets a New Years resolution or not? Either way, we can work this into our business goals as we go through the year. Where did goal setting come from and what exactly is it?

Goal setting involves the development of an action plan designed in order to motivate and guide a person or group toward a goal. Goals are more deliberate than desires and momentary intentions. Therefore, setting goals means that a person has committed thought, emotion, and behavior towards attaining the goal. In doing so, the goal setter has established a desired future state which differs from their current state thus creating a mismatch which in turn spurs future actions. Goal setting can be guided by goal-setting criteria (or rules) such as SMART criteria. Goal setting is a major component of personal-development and management literature. Studies by Edwin A. Locke and his colleagues, most notably Gary Latham, have shown that more specific and ambitious goals lead to more performance improvement than easy or general goals. The goals should be specific, time constrained and difficult. Vague goals reduce limited attention resources; goals require realistic time restrictions, illogically short time limits, intensify the difficulty of the goal outside the intentional level and, disproportionate time limits are not encouraging. Difficult goals should be set ideally at the 90th percentile of performance assuming that motivation and not ability is limiting attainment of that level of performance. As long as the person accepts the goal, has the ability to attain it, and does not have conflicting goals, there is a positive linear relationship between goal difficulty and task performance.

Read more about where it came from here.

How soon will I see financial reward?

LeTip is not a get rich fast scheme. It takes time to earn the trust of your chapter members, to become adept in the networking arena, to learn to promote yourself and your business with ease. If you expect instant reward, LeTip is not for you. If you want to build long-standing business relationships that will earn you qualified referrals for years to come, then LeTip is for you.

Visitation At LeTip of Vacaville

Visitation in Letip is a way that we have our members better know each other and know how to best send them business leads. Each month each member is assigned to visit another member outside of the regular weekly meeting. This is to encourage the growth of the chapter and provide better “Tips” to our members.

To find out more, please contact Ryan at 707-480-0959.

What Is LeTip? See LeTip Questions Answered Here

What makes LeTip different than any other leads group?

To put it simply, LeTip is the original. We aren’t a watered-down copy. We set the standard back in 1978 because we created a program to embrace both businesswomen and businessmen. We stick to the format, require our members to be committed, expect excellence and reject mediocrity. We’re snappy, successful and honored by the incredibly talented and professional membership who are the true spirit of LeTip.

What can I expect LeTip to do for me?

You can expect LeTip to provide the structure and guidance of the LeTip program. You can expect your Regional Director or Ambassadors to train your chapter members in leadership and presentation skills. You can expect all the necessary materials to run a chapter to be provided without charge. You can expect annual training in the newest networking and chapter-building techniques for your Board Members and Committee Chairs. You can expect your category to be protected. And you can expect our full-time staff in our corporate office to assist you when necessary.

What does LeTip expect of me?

LeTip expects you to attend meetings because you can’t build relationships if you aren’t in attendance. LeTip expects you to pass, on average, one qualified referral every week. LeTip expects you to be ethical, professional, and experienced in your line of work. LeTip expects you to help all your members to be successful and they are expected to do the same for you.
